A
NEW BEGINNING
Your pregnancy is an exciting time filled with
anticipation, wonderment and great physical change. Taking steps
to ease discomfort from the beginning of pregnancy can often help
moms-to-be cope with the onset of physical change as their pregnancy
proceeds.
OUR
APPROACH
Chiropractic treatment itself can differ greatly due
to different philosophies and treatment techniques. One aspect
shared by all doctors of chiropractic is the ability to treat the human
body without the use of drugs or surgery. Naturally, it is
an especially appropriate option for pregnant women seeking safe
treatments and who are concerned with taking medication. Our use
of low-force techniques provides a gentle, safe and effective form of treatment during your pregnancy and beyond.
RELIEF
Low back pain is on of the most common complaints of
pregnant patients. Gentle adjustments provide a natural way to
relieve pain and discomfort that can increase as pregnancy
proceeds. It is also a safe treatment for headaches, neck and
shoulder pain and muscle aches for which one does not wish to treat with
medication.
CONSULTATION
AND REFERRALS
Dr. Theirl welcomes your questions and concerns prior
to becoming a patient. He looks forward to meeting and discussing
with you your condition and how chiropractic care can help you be more
comfortable throughout your pregnancy. He encourages pregnant
patients to utilize appropriate practitioners to assist throughout the
pregnancy and is happy to provide patients with referrals to midwives,
birthing centers, massage therapists, nutritionists and other
practitioners.

IMPROVED
FLEXIBILITY AND JOINT MOBILITY
As you may have learned preparing for delivery,
flexibility is crucial to the ease of a vaginal delivery.
Adjustments put motion in the joint and help keep the body limber.
Not only will this help reduce strain during pregnancy, but can also
shorten physical post partum stress.
OPTIMIZED
PELVIC BIOMECHANICS
Pelvic "fixation" is a common cause of low
back pain and can compromise internal structures supporting the
uterus. The goal is to optimize the mechanics of the pelvic girdle
allowing the greatest possibility for a smooth delivery without
biomechanical difficulty.
